Renée Carson
Founder & CEO

A lifelong learner, creator, and technology enthusiast, Renée has called Gainesville home since 1993. She began exploring computers long before they became everyday tools—learning coding basics, experimenting with an early Apple Macintosh, and programming on a Radio Shack Tandy running DOS.

Today, Renée is the driving force behind SparkDog Creative, where technology meets creativity. With a background in web design, digital marketing, graphic design, publishing, and handmade product development, she helps businesses and creators turn ideas into polished, practical solutions.

Renée believes technology should make life easier, not more complicated. She works with small businesses to create websites, digital resources, marketing materials, and creative products that are approachable, affordable, and built with purpose.

Whether she’s helping a local business rebuild its online presence, designing a new product line, creating digital downloads, or solving a problem that needs a creative workaround, Renée brings curiosity, experience, and a “figure-it-out” mindset to every project.


When she’s not designing, Renée can usually be found crafting, sewing, creating coloring books, or playing ball with her dog.

Mark Carson
Operations & Creative Production Specialist

Mark is the creative problem-solver behind many of the details that make SparkDog Creative come together. Whether he’s researching new ideas, helping with technology, creating graphics, assisting with sales efforts, or building custom solutions, Mark brings a unique mix of technical know-how and craftsmanship to every project.

Beyond the digital side of the business, Mark is also a hands-on maker. He creates handcrafted bamboo baskets and windchimes, and designs and builds many of SparkDog Creative’s custom display pieces—including sticker racks, hanging displays, display boards, and easels that help showcase handmade products in the real world.

Renée's AI Assistant

Penny doesn't design websites, sew, answer the phone, or make even coffee. What she does do is help me brainstorm ideas, polish writing, organize projects, and generate illustrations.

Since I haven't figured out how to clone myself, Penny helps me work smarter so I can focus on serving clients, designing websites, and creating products.

You'll notice that some of the products and designs featured throughout this website are concept illustrations or creative placeholders. They represent ideas, future offerings, or examples of what's possible. And who knows? Today's concept could become tomorrow's newest product or service.
